Hello everyone, and welcome to Newsletter #21! 🚀

This is just a super quick newsletter to let you know that I’m moving in the right direction—even though, temporarily, it might feel like a step backward!

As mentioned in the last Sky Empire Gamefound update, we finally sold our house!

As you can see from the picture, this is a rather large house by Danish standards, situated close to the fjord in Northern Denmark. Truly a dream house! But it was also a large house to look after, and it represented a significant financial investment for us.

Selling it has been a goal of ours for quite some time, and we finally succeeded!

The decision was based on two very simple lessons that life has taught me:

1. If you want to be happier, do more of the things that make you happy

2. Chasing dreams comes with sacrifices

While both of these might seem like simple truths, I meet people all the time who don’t fully realise them. To be honest, it has taken me almost 40 years to truly realise them myself!

People will tell you all the time to chase your goals and follow your dreams, but what they don’t always tell you is that doing so means giving up something else. Don’t be naive and think otherwise. None of us can do everything.

So while moving into another house and renovating it will take up a lot of my time over the next three months, I have the end goal firmly in mind: to spend more of my life developing games!

By moving to another (still lovely!) home a little further away from the fjord, we have managed to cut our housing costs by around half to two-thirds of what they used to be. That gives us more freedom—and, ultimately, gives me the opportunity to dedicate more of my time to Greymarsh Games and doing what I truly love.

So I hope you’ll all be a little patient with my communication over the next few months, and I promise to keep you updated as often as I can!
